LA Boat Show
Last week end I rode up to the LA Boat show to hook up with fellow West Coast Spyder Ryder since we were supporting the east coast demo team that was out here on the west coast for the start of the 2010 demo tour.
I got to meet Matt Mondek who is the east coast team leader along with Kevin McPherson the So. Cal BRP rep who was also working the demo rydes. These are great guys along with the rest of the team members; they all have a passion for the spyder.

When I arrived with Art we were greet by WCS members that had come all the way from Santa Barbra just to support the demo team. Along with that member he brought down Bill a new Premier RT-S owner that had his RT for only one week and was at 300 miles already. Now Bill has not had the time yet to read the owner’s manual and I asked him what the new I Pod looked like since I had not seen one yet.
Bill said it was still in the box and he didn’t know how to set it up yet, Well being the helpful group that WCS ryders are we just took over his bike (with his permission) and unpackaged the I Pod and grabbed the connection wires and hooked it up, turned on the RT and walked Bill through the screen and the functions from the command center and then went to the screen that showed the I Pod.
Now there were no songs on it yet so we played the I Pod radio and then replaced with Kathy’s I Pod that had music and cranked up the volume to see what it sounded like and then walked Bill through the functions.
We had lunch at the ESPN bar and grill about 2 blocks away, good food but LA prices. On my return I did an interview with Bill and the guy was a smile ear to ear.
Next week I want to introduce to a man named Derrick that has never been on a motorcycle and never heard of the spyder and just happen to walk into the demo rydes while going to the boat show, he test rode the RT and my with him was interview was priceless.
